One of the areas we haven’t been to was Norfolk. So this year we decided to have a roadtrip to Norfolk and stayed there for a week. We chose to rent a cottage in Brancaster Staithe which was once a Roman town, a thriving town famous for it’s mussels and is also close to the beach. Our base is between the various places we planned to visit, making it ideal for our needs.

Map of where we went

During this trip we visited and did the following places:

  1. Castle Rising
  2. Blickling Estate

Below are photos taken in Blicking Manor.

Blicking Estate
Blickling Hall is a Jacobean stately home situated in 5,000 acres of parkland in a loop of the River Bure, near the village of Blickling in Norfolk, England. The mansion was built on the ruins of a Tudor building for Sir Henry Hobart from 1616 and designed by Robert Lymin. This was Anne Boleyn’s home and she is likely to have been born here too.
