Journey North: Aydon Castle

On our way to Scotland, we stopped by a near unaltered 13th century English manor house. This was fortified during the Anglo-Scottish war and suffered a yoyo of pillaging, arson and seizure between the Scots and English rebels. It was really a surprise that it still standing nearly unscathed up to this day.
