One of the main draws of Wimpole Estate is the impressive mansion house. Built in the 1700s, this grand property is a testament to the wealth and status of its former owners, the Chicheley family. Visitors can take a guided tour of the house, which includes the lavish state rooms, library, chapel, and servants’ quarters. The house is also home to a fascinating collection of art and furniture, including works by famous artists such as George Romney and Joshua Reynolds.

The estate’s gardens are equally impressive, divided into several distinct areas, including a walled garden, pleasure garden, woodland garden, and parkland. The Wimpole Estate is also home to a working farm, which provides a fascinating glimpse into traditional farming methods and animal husbandry.
