I made small changes in the garden this year. Making it more useful for everyone and without spending too much on new things by reusing what I already have and putting them in new areas.

This metal shelf (above) was an old one I used to store my garden supplies. After tidying up the shed, it needed to be moved. So instead of getting rid of it, it’s been cleaned up and used to store the ceramic pots, decorations and used as a divider/screen.

My mango, calamansi and pomegranate plants are temporarily put here so they can enjoy the summer sun. They’ll be moved back inside the house in winter.

I bought two different types of Jasmine, a new Rose and planted different onions. I think I’ll have a good cherry harvest this year but will only have a handful of apples. The blueberries looks promising and the blackberries still looks bountiful.

I got rid of the clematis because the husband doesn’t like it. I also managed to get my hands on a slice of tree trunk from the neighbours so I should be able to practice throwing knives and axes whenever I want to.

Since I stay up late most nights, I slowly added a variety of solar garden lights so it won’t be pitch black when I look out from the kitchen window.

The herb tower was also moved for better access and light. The tarragon, sage, majoram, oregano and thyme are flourishing. I think I only need two more solar lights and the a BBQ to make the garden perfect. Will update when I find ones I like.
